Cowboy Sketch

While I spend most of my time these days working on Fangbone!, I am also still trying out new illustration ideas, and trying to get comfortable working 100% digitally.  This is based on a photo of Billy the Kidd.

Astronaut #20 and #21

Two more space goers for my ongoing Astronaut series.  This first one is a follow up to the book idea from a few posts ago.

This second one is something that I'm working on for a new animation project.  Both pieces are 100% digital.

Fangbone! VR Goggles

In one of the forthcoming episodes of the Fangbone TV show, Fangbone and Bill use these odd Skullbanian Virtual Reality goggles.  This is one of the first things that I drew using the Wacom Cintiq.  At the moment it looks like the show will be hitting Canada in March, and on Disney XD in the US sometime in the fall.

Wexler

A few years ago I wrote a picture book called "Wexler."  It's about a strange little animal that keeps being sold by a pet shop, only be returned the next day for various reasons.  I think at one point he pooped on someone's ceiling.  I started thinking about the story again last summer and did this drawing of the main character.

More Unit 77

I noticed that I have a big pile of stand alone drawings that don't really fit into any one category. I think I'm just going to start putting them up with no real order or agenda.  This is a finished drawing of the clone character "Unit 77." I like this one, but I didn't pursue this design of him much further.

Shortly after I drew this first image, I started working on a Wacom Cintiq.  This version of Unit 77 was one of the first things I drew on it.
